Occupational Therapist

The Occupational Therapist - Rehabilitation Specialist will assess, plan, and implement rehabilitative programs to improve mobility, relieve pain, and increase strength for patients suffering from disease or injury. This role will involve conducting physical and functional assessments, identifying level of dysfunction, and developing a plan of care to achieve mutually established functional goals.
Responsibilities
* Conduct evaluations of assigned patients in accordance with established standards of care and practice.
* Plan and provide treatment to assigned patients as appropriate in accordance with established standards of care and practice.
* Coordinate patient care with other clinical team members to ensure optimal patient care and communication.
* Complete all required documentation of services per department standards.
* Maintain and enhance personal knowledge as well as promoting professional standards in Occupational therapy.
* Monitor the treatment activities of COTA's and aides.
* Supervise students after one year of experience.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
* Occupational Therapist Licensed in the State of Florida upon hire required.
* BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS) American Heart Association upon hire required.
* Excellent communication and people skills.
* Knowledge of industry best practices and guidelines.
* Excellent organizational skills required.
* Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
* Maintain current knowledge of regulations, policies and procedures.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Ability to motivate others.
* Excellent customer service skills.
