Full Time Dispensing Nurse LPN/LVN

BAART Program, a leading substance abuse treatment organization, is seeking a detail-oriented and empathetic Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team as a Dispensing Nurse. This role is a critical part of our treatment team, working in partnership with Physicians and Nursing Supervisors to dispense prescribed medications and provide exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:- Administer daily medication to patients in accordance with program policy and medical protocols.
- Use automated dispensing systems, calibrate pumps, and maintain dispensing equipment.
- Produce and maintain accurate records and reports as required by Company protocol, Federal, and State Regulations.
- Ensure compliance with security standards for the distribution and storage of controlled substances as set forth in the Code of Federal Regulations.
- Order, receive, and stock medication in accordance with DEA and State regulations (if granted Power of Attorney).
- Provide daily patient assessments.
- Assist Nursing Supervisors in orienting new nursing staff.
- Perform other related duties as determined by the supervisor.
- Current and good standing Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the State of California.
- Current CPR certification required.
- EMR and computer proficiency desired.
- Experience in chemical dependency preferred.
- Self-motivated and directed, with a positive attitude toward individuals in substance abuse treatment.
- Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
- Competitive salary range: $26.00 to $32.00 an hour.
