Firearms Training Specialist

At Maxon Shooter's Supplies & Indoor Range, we're committed to growing and expanding our firearms community. As a Firearms Instructor, you'll play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, safety training, and sales assistance to our diverse customer base.
Responsibilities:- Provide outstanding customer service, greeting customers with a friendly demeanor and making them feel welcome.
- Deliver safety training and basic shooting fundamentals to our customers, ensuring a positive learning experience.
- Assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions by identifying and evaluating their individual needs.
- Serve as Range Safety Officer, ensuring safety on the range by observing users and stopping any actions that violate our safety rules and procedures.
- Follow proper protocols for checking customers in and out of the shooting range.
- Report to the Training Coordinator and attend quarterly meetings.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of firearms instruction experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, including being personable, reliable, knowledgeable, and a great communicator.
- Be well-versed in various firearm actions and platforms, including pistols, rifles, and shotguns.
- Flexibility in work schedule, including potential evenings and weekends.
- Must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid Firearm Owner's Identification Card (FOID).
- Must possess a concealed carry permit and an Instructor Certification from the NRA or USCCA or equivalent.
- $32.50-$50 hourly after commission.
- Paid time off after 2000 hours worked (approximately 1 year full-time).
- A paid day off every year on your birthday.
