Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated nurse to coordinate and implement clinical research trials, studies, and projects. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team of healthcare professionals who are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing medical knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Trial Coordination: Coordinate, implement, and evaluate clinical research trials, studies, and projects, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and institutional policies.
  • Research Protocol Development: Provide direction in the development of research protocols, working closely with investigators and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with guidelines and regulations.
  • Patient Recruitment and Education: Recruit and screen potential study participants, develop and conduct patient and family education programs, and provide nursing support for specialized procedures.
  • Financial Management: Oversee financial accounts, ensuring operations remain within approved levels and making recommendations for budget adjustments as needed.
  • Infusion Duties: May perform infusion duties, providing direct patient care and administering medications under the supervision of a licensed physician.
  • Writing and Publishing: Assist in writing research grants, publications, and study materials, collaborating with investigators and other researchers to disseminate findings and promote medical knowledge.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide direction and may supervise other Research Nurses or support staff, mentoring and coaching to enhance their skills and professional development.
Requirements:
  • Education: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia and three years of related nursing experience.
  • Credentials: Must be credentialed through Emory Healthcare under the category of RN II.
