Job Summary

The successful candidate will assist bus drivers in maintaining good student conduct on the bus, ensure students get on and off the bus in an orderly fashion, and maintain student discipline.

Responsibilities
  • Assist bus drivers in maintaining order and discipline among students.
  • Ensure students board and exit the bus safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records as assigned.
  • Perform data entry tasks using basic computer skills.
  • Utilize mathematical skills for simple calculations.
  • Drive school buses as a substitute when needed.
  • Read and interpret routine written materials.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, have a valid driver's license, and hold a current Bus Driver's Certificate. Additionally, they should have a Class B CDL with Passenger and Air Brake Endorsements.

Working Conditions

This position requires standing, walking, sitting, talking, and hearing regularly. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally is also necessary. A current physical examination is required prior to employment.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is $14.23-$16.02 per hour, commensurate with experience, as per the negotiated agreement of the Support Employees of Edmond (SEE). Performance evaluations will be conducted by the Transportation Director in accordance with district policies and state law.
