**Job Summary**

PM2CM is seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Manager to lead our commissioning efforts and supervise a team of commissioning professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commissioning and a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commissioning Leadership: Provide commissioning leadership and supervise commissioning of new construction and renovation projects, including services to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building automation, and building envelope systems.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise commissioning services amongst design and construction team members during project planning, design, construction, occupancy, and warranty phases, ensuring standard commissioning deliverables are received in a timely manner.
  • Process Oversight: Supervise commissioning processes, standards, documentation, and daily activities of in-house commissioning staff members and contracted commissioning firms.
  • Project Management: Oversee proper execution of commissioning plans, specifications, design reviews, site visits, equipment submittal reviews, pre-functional testing, functional testing, staff maintenance training, and 10-month warranty observations.
  • Policy Development: Maintain policies, procedures, and standards for a commissioning program that are in accordance with commissioning industry requirements.
  • Budget Management: Manage budgets for commissioning programs and contracted services.
  • Project Objectives: Determine project objectives, including commissioning requirements and plans.
  • Design Review: Review design at various stages of the design process and evaluate bid documents and submittals.
  • Construction Coordination: Coordinate with project teams to address construction deviations.
  • Test Development: Develop test forms and checklists for construction.
  • Functional Testing: Implement functional performance tests and issue progress and final reports.
  • Project Acceptance: Review and submit project acceptance forms.
  • As-Built Drawings: Responsible for as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and warranty process and documents.
  • Staff Training: Develop and coordinate staff training and continuing education opportunities, including seminars and workshops, to learn and share up-to-date information on commissioning and compliance.
  • Lessons Learned: Review and document trainings and updated information by developing and presenting lessons learned bulletins.
  • Transition Task Team: Direct and manage transition task team commissioning efforts.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as directed by senior management staff.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Ten (10) years of full-time paid professional experience in the design, commissioning, and compliance process of private or commercial projects, or six (6) years of experience in a similar or equivalent position involved in the design, commissioning, and compliance process of a capital, public, or educational facility construction project.
  • Education: Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
