As a business analytics intern, you will be involved in the day-to-day activities within the business through immersion into different projects. You will have the opportunity to work within a team to gain knowledge and first-hand experience of what a career in this industry would be like. Your responsibilities will include reporting and creating visualizations, assisting with data cleanup actions in CRM and SAP systems, reviewing data to identify potential gaps or incorrect information, and working towards correction of data. You will also have the opportunity to work on a chosen project with the assistance of the manager, mentor, and team. Additionally, you will be expected to actively seek out information to learn how SICK operates as a business, interface with other departments and interns to gain knowledge of the business, products, positions, and more. You will also be required to provide innovative recommendations on how SICK can improve and complete a final presentation at the close of the internship that outlines the involved project(s) and knowledge gained. The ideal candidate will be enrolled in an accredited university/college program, have strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience with Microsoft SQL Server querying in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and data visualization tools such as Tableau. The candidate should also be self-directed, able to work without supervision, energetic, and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.
