As an integral member of the procurement team, the Procurement Specialist will oversee and track key performance indicators (KPIs), open purchase orders, pricing lists, and ensure the timely arrival of goods through consistent communication with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities and Objectives

  • Maintain and update pricing lists, lead times, and safety stock levels within the ERP system.
  • Assist in forecasting and planning purchases for all raw materials, hard goods, and packaging supplies.
  • Identify potential new suppliers and facilitate the acquisition of pricing and other essential information.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on documentation related to raw materials.
  • Manage and update purchase order deliveries and scheduling within the ERP system.
  • Keep abreast of supplier communications regarding raw material availability and pricing.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and improve efficiency within the Procurement Department.
  • Exhibit knowledge and competency relevant to both the Environmental Management System (EMS) and the Quality Management System (QMS), including adherence to policies, objectives, and compliance obligations related to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the chemical industry.
  • Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, with a strong command of Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
