Position Overview

Role Summary:

The Kitchen Operations Supervisor plays a pivotal role in leading our culinary team, collaborating closely with the General Manager and Area Manager. This position requires flexible availability and a solid background in leadership and management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit responsibility, diligence, a positive attitude, and a readiness to learn and accept guidance, which are essential for success at Goodfellas Pizzeria.
  • Maintain detailed records of all significant events and busy periods in the Manager Logbook.
  • Propose enhancements to service quality and overall operational efficiency.
  • Conduct training for kitchen staff on preparation techniques, cooking methods, health and safety standards, relationship-building strategies, and customer service excellence.
  • Ensure the highest quality of food products for our patrons.
  • Address any guest or employee concerns as they arise.
  • Achieve food manager's certification (provided by Goodfellas Pizzeria).
  • Oversee inventory management of all food supplies, restocking as necessary.
  • Adhere to all health and sanitation regulations, along with safety protocols.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with food safety practices is preferred; eagerness to learn is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and time management abilities.
  • Capability to perform under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members while also managing them.
  • Proficiency in safely operating all kitchen equipment.

Experience and Education:

  • Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role is highly desirable.
  • Experience in the restaurant industry is preferred but not mandatory.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds consistently.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 10 hours.
