Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Kitchen Technician to join our team at Curaleaf. As a key member of our culinary operations, you will be responsible for managing the kitchen, ensuring recipes are followed, and leading a team of kitchen assistants. Your expertise in food preparation, production, and controls will be essential in maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage food preparations, production, and controls to ensure high-quality standards.
  • Lead the kitchen team, providing hands-on guidance and implementing production processes and schedules.
  • Source high-quality ingredients and manage inventory costs for high-volume cannabis-infused products.
  • Train and oversee staff in producing artisan, high-quality, medically infused products.
  • Collaborate with Processing and Packaging to prepare and package products according to company schedules and food safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and store supplies and equipment properly.
  • Perform QA/QC duties, including analytical testing for quality and consistency.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years' experience in food preparation in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Previous leadership experience.
  • Experience cooking with cannabis preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills to manage a fast-paced kitchen.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to motivate and train staff.
