Job Description

Leidos is a leading provider of innovative technology and sector expertise to customers in the national security, engineering, and health industries. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our maritime systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support internal, external, and project audits to maintain ISO 9001:2015 and CMMI Level 3 certifications.
  • Work with project technicians, engineers, and managers to develop and implement best practices for inspection at the Lynnwood site.
  • Conduct quality inspections of project deliverables and support performance verification testing, as needed.
  • Collect and report key process indicator measurements and progress toward meeting quality objectives.
  • Actively manage and support best practices and improvements for documenting nonconformances that come from project, product, and service errors.
  • Provide review and input to program plans and other program documents in support of accurate and on-time deliverables.
  • Develop quality audit plans for the site and projects that meet audit requirements and focus on areas that contribute to business outcomes.
  • Conduct timely quality audits in adherence with program audit schedules and in compliance with Leidos policies and direction.
  • Generate corrective action requests for audit findings and maintain the Common Audit Database (CAD) with timely updates/closures of audit findings.
  • Support and proactively lead and document process improvements, lessons learned, and assist program teams in creating a culture for continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • BS and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience working with SharePoint, MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Good verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and function in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
  • US citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Works independently with moderate supervision.
  • Experience with quality assessment of machined parts, delivered parts, and in-process parts being manufactured at the facility.
  • Detailed knowledge of GDT&E.

  • Experience with risk and root cause analysis.
  • Agile-minded and able to adapt and tackle problems from various perspectives.
  • Willing to learn and help support the balance of QC, QA, and QE activities as necessary to support quality goals and objectives.
  • Self-starter.
  • Inquisitive.
  • Passion for quality.
  • J-Standard certifications (soldering inspection certs) a bonus.
  • Innovative.
  • Good written and oral skills.
  • Ability to completely document and communicate quality issues.
