Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Leidos. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and services, and will be responsible for conducting quality inspections, audits, and assessments to identify and mitigate potential quality issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Inspection and Audit: Conduct quality inspections of project deliverables and support performance verification testing, as needed. Collect and report key process indicator measurements and progress toward meeting quality objectives.
  • Process Improvement: Actively manage and help support best practices and improvements for documenting nonconformances that come from project, product, and service errors.
  • Program Support: Provide review and input to program plans and other program documents in support of accurate and on-time deliverables.
  • Quality Audit Planning: Develop quality audit plan for the site and projects that meet audit requirements and focuses, in cooperation with project managers and area leadership, on areas that contribute to business outcomes.
  • Corrective Action Requests: Generate corrective action requests for audit findings and maintain the Common Audit Database (CAD) with timely updates/closures of audit findings.
  • Process Improvement Initiatives: Support and proactively lead and documents process improvements (e.g., six sigma, kaizen, lean events), lessons learned and assists program team in creating a culture for continuous improvement.
  • Mission Assurance Goals: Actively support implementation of Mission Assurance goals and objectives and support QEC business rhythms.
  • Quality Management System: Actively support and help promote awareness of the sites 'quality management system and its processes.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: BS and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Technical Skills: Experience working with the following tools: SharePoint, MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Communication Skills: Good verbal and written skills.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to multi-task and function in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
  • Citizenship and Security Clearance: US citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.

  • Experience with Risk and Root Cause Analysis: Experience with risk and root cause analysis.

  • J-Standard Certifications: J-Standard certifications (soldering inspection certs) a bonus.
