Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Journeyman Technician

Job Summary:

Ryder is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic Journeyman Technician to join our team in Milwaukee, WI. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles, ensuring they are safe and reliable for our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake and tire work, and preventative maintenance
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems with minimal support
  • Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints and provide solutions
  • Coach and mentor other technicians to improve their skills and knowledge
  • Utilize shop management systems and electronic documentation to track work and maintain accurate records

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Four (4) years or more relevant work experience preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
