Position: Java Core Technical Lead (Hybrid)

We are in search of a highly skilled Java Core Technical Lead who possesses extensive experience in developing and constructing impactful, scalable enterprise applications. Our developers are committed to producing high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and clients, making collective decisions to swiftly deliver valuable software solutions to our clients and their users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on coding expertise is essential.
  • Oversee the implementation of GraphQL APIs to facilitate efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development team, ensuring adherence to standard practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain user documentation to support architectural and design decisions.
  • Conduct code reviews to uphold code quality, performance, and security standards.
  • Identify and mitigate technical debt and performance bottlenecks within the system.
  • Ensure that the architecture aligns with the strategic goals of the company and industry best practices.
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of new technologies and tools to enhance the development process.
  • Work closely with the DevOps team to ensure seamless deployment and operation of microservices.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting for production issues related to the architecture.
  • Continuously monitor and enhance the performance and scalability of the system.
  • Contribute to the overall technical strategy and roadmap of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • 8 to 12 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong expertise in designing and implementing microservices architecture using Spring Boot and Core Java.
  • Proficient in developing and consuming APIs.
  • Solid understanding of software development standards and design patterns.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in Billing & Revenue Management and Devices is advantageous.
  • Proactive in learning and adopting new technologies and methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Essential Skills:

  • Java 8, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS, debugging, and application monitoring experience.

Desirable Skills:

  • GraphQL, Kafka, Kubernetes.

Compensation and Benefits:

The annual salary for this position ranges from $81K to $163K, depending on experience and qualifications. This role is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance.
