Wireless Network Core Engineer

The Wireless Network Core Engineer is responsible for integration testing, troubleshooting, and certification of 5G Core network systems. This role plays a key part in the certification of all 5G Core network systems and reporting issues to development teams and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting 5G gNB, Smallcell functional and troubleshooting
Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills of 5G Core Network Architecture and interfaces
Thorough understanding and hands-on experience in Core Network Elements AMF, UPF, AUSF, UDM, NSF
Knowledge in CBRS and FFC requirements (3.5GHz)
Through knowledge in virtualization platforms, Docker containers, and Kubernetes
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
Provides support for escalated support across organizations
Works with third-party vendors for resolution or gets support as needed
Coaches less experienced staff
Adhere to industry-specific local, state, and federal regulations, as applicable
Know, understand, and follow company policy
Preferred Experience
Excellent knowledge in testing and troubleshooting 5G Mobile Wireless core Networks or equivalent in similar telecom industry
Excellent knowledge in virtualization platforms, Dockers, and Kubernetes, 2-3 years
Hands-on experience using protocol communications test equipment and test tools
Experience in testing and troubleshooting IP core network and E2E call flows
Must possess excellent industry knowledge and theoretical understanding of 3GPP, IEEE 802.11
Experience with testing all Layers 1 thru 7 networks
Knowledgeable with bug tracking and ticketing systems like Jira, Remedy, etc.
Extensive hands-on experience using network test equipment, such as Ixia, Spirent, Fluke Networks, IBB, Spectrum Analyzers, Site Survey Planning tools, and Traffic Generators
Strong work ethic with a desire to meet and exceed personal and business goals
Self-motivated to take ownership of assigned projects, tickets, and deliverables
Ability to work both in a team and independently on assigned projects
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Learns and adapts to new technologies and methodologies
Ability to work with little supervision to execute and troubleshoot highly technical and complex issues
Possesses strong analytical skills and attention to details
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience
Professional level certification or equivalent work experience
Working Conditions

Exposure to continuous moderate noise
Work performed near power lines and electricity
Occasional travel as required
