Job Title: Medical Technologist

Overview

Select Medical is a leading provider of healthcare services, and we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality laboratory services to our patients.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver superior quality in all aspects of laboratory services, including pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical processes.
  • Treat others with respect and dignity, and provide excellent customer service to our patients and colleagues.
  • Utilize computer skills to order, accession, and result quality controls and patient results.
  • Perform phlebotomy, prepare and evaluate specimens, and follow laboratory protocols for daily instrument preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, calibrations, quality controls, and proficiency testing.
  • Monitor inventory and report inadequacies to the Lab Manager.
  • Complete annual educational requirements, required continuing education, and maintain licensure.

Qualifications

  • Successful completion from a School for Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Technician.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology is required.
  • Current certification from one of the following: The American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), American Medical Technologists (AMT), American Association of Bioanalysts (ABB), The National Credentialing Agency of Laboratory Personnel (NCA), or another approved agency.
