We are seeking a dedicated Stability and Control Engineer to work onsite in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine control surface dimensions
- Conduct control allocation, axis decoupling, and mixing assessments
- Design control laws
- Perform stability and control evaluations in free air and ground effect
- Establish acceptable stability margins
- Define take-off and landing speeds (e.g., VMCG, VS, VMU)
- Analyze control surface sensitivities
- Conduct modal assessments (phugoid, Dutch roll, etc.)
- Evaluate handling characteristics across linear ranges and beyond stall
- Assess aero-elastic impacts on aircraft control

Qualifications:
- Master's degree in aerodynamics from an accredited institution
- 6-8 years of relevant experience in Stability & Control
- Familiarity with Computational Fluid Dynamics, aerospace control law methodologies, and flight handling qualities (MIL-F-8785)
- Proficiency in software tools such as Mathworks Matlab, Simulink, OpenVSP, XFOIL, and AVL is preferred
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary range: $150,000 - $170,000 annually
