Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team at Primus Aerospace. As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, designing programs, and setting up machines to produce high-tolerance, complex geometry parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and create fixtures and tooling to optimize production efficiency.
  • Develop and implement setup sheets and work instructions to ensure smooth handoffs to operators.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to create In-Process Inspection Criteria (IPIC) and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Manage daily production activities, including machine programming for 3, 4, and 5-axis mills and CNC lathes.
  • Own and maintain assigned equipment, as well as the team's daily job functions, responsibilities, and workflow.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, production, and project managers.
  • Maintain or improve legacy part quality standards and cycle times through process improvements.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience programming CNC mills and lathes.
  • Proficiency in Mastercam 2020 and experience with CNC lathe, mill turn, and 3- and 5-axis milling machines.
  • Ability to identify training needs, tooling recommendations, and implement best machining practices.
  • Familiarity with multiple types of material, including titanium, Inconel, and other exotic alloys.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Solutions-focused, detail-oriented, and strong work ethic.
