Cargo Service FunctionsThe Cargo Services Supervisor is responsible for cargo warehousing, including receiving, dispatching, and staging airfreight, air mail, and other cargo at air freight docks and other cargo facilities. This role also involves operating motorized vehicles and performing routine cleaning tasks.
Responsibilities- Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Write routine reports and correspondence.
- Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
- Compute rate, percent, and interpret bar graphs.
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Report to work on a regular and timely basis.
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- Related experience and/or training.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and days off.
- Ability to handle stress.
- Cognitive skills to set priorities and use independent judgment.
- Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
