Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at SSM Health. As a Cardiac Catheterization Lab Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our lab.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs on the Cath Lab procedure team as circulator, scrub, or monitor, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
  • Coordinates patient care by ensuring that patients are correctly prepped for procedures, and that all necessary information, such as history and physical (H&P), is timely and accurate.
  • Administers medications to patients, including critically ill patients, and reports any abnormal information to the physician in a timely manner.
  • Provides education to patients and families based on assessed needs, documents education provided, and keeps them informed of tests and treatments.
  • Assists families to the cardiology area or cath lab area by escorting when necessary.
  • Performs point of care testing according to policies and procedures.
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner, performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
  • No experience required, but a strong desire to learn and grow in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
