Seattle, Washington, United States Volga Partners Full time
About the Position

We are seeking a seasoned AR/VR Quality Assurance Test Analyst to join our team in the Redmond/Bellevue area of WA. This role requires hands-on engagement with AR/VR products, including rigorous testing of innovative hardware and software. The position demands a genuine comfort and enthusiasm for wearing AR/VR headgear during testing phases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead thorough testing analysis, maintain and grow test suites, and undertake ad-hoc testing on new, undocumented areas to elevate the QA organization's quality and accuracy.
  • Own, manage and work with engineering teams, partake in planning meetings, and identify testability risks for features, particularly when testing Horizon.
  • Produce deliverables for both standard and advanced testing needs, ensuring exceptional test planning and execution.
  • Develop new test cases as features evolve and requirements change, maintaining up-to-date tracking of new functionalities and release levels.
  • Mitigate engineering team disruptions by managing duplicate bug reports, clarifying ambiguous bug reports, and ensuring compliance with bug reporting protocols.
  • Discover test and process deficiencies using best practices and communicate these findings to management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Utilize popular bug-tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, Mantis) for reporting root cause analysis, executing test cases, and validating bug fixes.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in product testing, with a significant emphasis on hardware testing.
  • Undergrad degree with focus on technology.
  • Extensive experience in AR/VR testing, demonstrating familiarity with the unique challenges and requirements of the field.
  • Comfort and willingness to wear AR/VR headgear for prolonged periods as part of the testing process.
  • Ability to work onsite in the Redmond/Bellevue area, with no option for remote work.
  • Proficiency in bug-tracking and testing software such as TestRail, Jira, Bugzilla, Mantis, etc.
  • Multilingual abilities are a plus, facilitating communication with a diverse team and user base.
  • Strong interest in multimedia and the gaming industry, with a passion for staying ahead of industry trends and developments.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of providing constructive feedback and engaging effectively with engineering partners and stakeholders.
