Job Title: Quality Assurance Test Lead II

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Test Lead II to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for leading mid-level to complex projects through the testing life cycle, ensuring the successful implementation and support of application systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead testing activities, including developing test plans and strategies, coordinating user acceptance testing, and ensuring that responsible parties update test conditions and scripts to maintain quality and accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain test processes, standards, templates, and guidelines, and work closely with QA Testing and Release Management Manager and team members to ensure continuous improvement of testing methodologies and processes.
  • Provide coaching and consulting services to project teams in test tools, strategies, methodologies, and processes, and promote best QA practices.
  • Enforce QA testing standards, maintain standards for testing of applications currently in operation, and train application team members, project managers, project team members, and stakeholders on test tools, test templates, testing methodology, and standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience serving in a mid-level to large-scale application test lead role, and testing experience within a vendor-packaged software environment.
  • Experience in testing consulting, coaching, and mentoring, and developing, documenting, and maintaining test processes, standards, templates, and guidelines.
  • Experience working with one or more test management tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Healthcare application experience.
  • Experience in test planning for features/systems.
  • Well-organized with high attention to detail.
  • Familiar with Continuous Quality Improvement.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Project Management.
