We are in search of a Division Financial Operations Manager, who is prepared for advancement into a Regional Financial Operations role within our expanding organization. The Financial Operations Manager is tasked with generating precise and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses. The role offers flexibility in location based on the qualifications of the selected candidate. Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the formulation and support of the company's strategic initiatives.
  • Communicate financial metrics effectively to senior management.
  • Assess and provide insights on the implications of long-term planning, the introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory changes.
  • Establish and oversee financial controls over accounting transactions in line with SAIIA's policies to mitigate risks.
  • Compile and scrutinize financial reports, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Evaluate the structure of the finance division and devise plans for continuous improvement in efficiency and effectiveness, fostering professional growth among team members.
  • Develop a dependable cash flow forecasting process and reporting mechanism to enhance the company's cash position, including a minimum cash threshold to meet operational needs.
  • Prepare the annual budget and forecasts, reporting significant variances to management.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and provide necessary information for the annual audit.
  • Assist with the filing of quarterly and annual reports with regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal government regulations.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and manage the workflow of the Accounting department to ensure tasks are completed in alignment with organizational expectations.
  • Oversee personal and professional development to maintain a competitive edge in the industry.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • At least 10 years of experience in Accounting, specifically within the Construction sector and multiple worksite environments.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role within a department or division.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued Driver's License with a driving record that meets SAIIA's risk management criteria.
  • CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Comprehensive understanding of corporate and industry financial practices, processes, and standards, and their implications for company operations.
  • Proficiency in essential technological tools, including Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Vista Viewpoint.
  • Experience in budget development.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to prioritize resources and personnel effectively.
  • Analytical mindset with robust problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adept at managing multiple information streams and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
