We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate In-Home Support Specialist to join our team at The Arc Eastern Connecticut. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in facilitating the independence and well-being of individuals with developmental and physical disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal care, and transportation.
- Facilitate community involvement and socialization through outings and activities.
- Support therapeutic and behavioral plans to promote optimal independence.
- Work collaboratively with participants, families, and staff to ensure a positive and supportive environment.
- Prior experience working with individuals with developmental and physical disabilities is preferred.
- Ability to mentor and assist with life skills, including recreation, independence, communication, and health.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- High School Diploma or GED and basic computer aptitude.
- Ability to speak and write in English.
