Key Responsibilities
  • Genetic Education and Counseling: Provide genetics education to high-risk patients and their families, ensuring they understand their genetic risk and the importance of early detection.
  • Registration and Scheduling: Register patients for genetic testing and schedule follow-up appointments, ensuring seamless communication with our clinical team.
  • Specimen Collection: Collect specimens for genetic testing, maintaining the highest standards of patient care and confidentiality.
  • Liaison and Communication: Serve as a liaison between patients, radiologists, pathologists, and referring physicians, ensuring timely and accurate communication of test results.
  • Insurance Verification and Authorization: Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for genetic testing.
  • Patient Support and Advocacy: Maintain a compassionate and professional demeanor, providing emotional support and advocacy to patients and their families in a fast-paced environment.
  • Test Result Distribution: Distribute positive genetic test results to referring physicians, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
Requirements
  • 1 year of medical office experience in imaging, preferably in a genetic testing setting.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
