Cardiology Nurse

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiology team in Needham, Massachusetts.
Job Summary:The Registered Nurse will provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process, overseeing other assigned team members and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide population-specific care in accordance with BORN regulations and professional standards of care.
Responsibilities:- Provide highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
- Oversee other assigned team members and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide population-specific care.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient care.
- Current MA RN license required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years nursing experience required.
- Strong interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and conflict management skills required.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
- Bachelor degree in nursing, preferred.
- 2 years Critical Care experience required.
- Procedural experience preferred (Cath Lab, IR, OR).
- Modest sedation experience preferred.
- CPR Training required within first 3 months of employment.
- Evidence of continued education and professional development.
- Certification or advanced training in specialty area preferred.
The RN works in a variety of patient care environments where there may be exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials such as chemotherapeutic agents, radioisotopes, and radiation.
Caring for patients also involves exposure to human waste and other unpleasant elements.
Other duties may include general cleaning with exposure to dirt, odors, cramped quarters, etc.
RN's may work with angry, agitated, and combative patients.
Physical Standards of Job Description:- Constantly – 75% or more of the worker's time is spent in the activity.
- Frequently – 25% to 75% or more of the worker's time is spent in this activity.
- Occasionally – 5% to 25% or more of the worker's time is spent in this activity.
- Rarely – under 5% or more of the worker's time is spent in the activity.
