Job Summary

Owensboro Health's Call Team is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines to provide well-coordinated patient care.
  • Carry out physician and nursing orders to ensure timely and effective care.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with patient/family and healthcare team members.
  • Provide education to patients and families based on age, culture, and willingness to learn.
  • Perform job duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or higher in Nursing required upon hire.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing required within 5 years of employment in this position.
  • RN - Licensed as a Registered Nurse eligible to practice in the State of Kentucky required upon hire.
  • BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 45 days of employment in this position.
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 12 months of employment in this position.
  • NRP - Certified as a Neonatal Resuscitation Program Provider required within 12 months of employment in this position.
