Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Support Technician to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a Clinical Support Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with routine examinations and procedures, as well as procurement of equipment and supplies.
  • Review patient care documentation, noting any significant changes in the patient's condition and reporting to a registered nurse or physician.
  • Provide a variety of clerical tasks, including organizing and prioritizing workload, greeting and directing visitors, and maintaining medical records.
  • Provide clinical support assistance, including cleaning the work area, maintaining office equipment, and transporting patients and supplies.
  • Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and assisting with ambulation.
  • Measure and record vital signs, patient height and weight, and perform other tasks as outlined in the plan of care.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Listed as Nurse Aide I Registry with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
  • One year of clerical or customer service experience and six months of related nursing assistant experience

This position is employed by NC Health (Rex Healthcare, Inc., d/b/a NC Health), a private, fully-owned subsidiary of UNC Health Care System. This is not a State employed position.
