Job OverviewPosition: Cybersecurity Systems Manager, Expert

Location: On-site

Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours per week) with benefits.

Security Clearance: TS/SCI with FS Polygraph.

Experience Requirements:

  • 4 years with a PhD
  • 8 years with a BS degree
  • 6 years with a master's degree
  • 10 years with an AA degree
  • 12 years with an HS diploma

Role Responsibilities:

· Supervise Analysts tasked with safeguarding information systems and protecting assets from unauthorized access or destruction.

· Provide support for programs, organizations, systems, or enclaves. Facilitate the Agency's Risk Management Framework (RMF) workflow and processes by proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information system security policies, instructions, standards, and methodologies.

· Collaborate with the Data Custodian, Project Owner, and Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to identify the types of information processed, assign appropriate security categorizations, assess information security and privacy impacts, and manage associated risks. Document controls in the information security and privacy plan to ensure compliance with CISO guidance.

· Maintain up-to-date system information in XACTA to support organizational requirements and processes.

· Assess the impact of network and system modifications using RMF processes.

· Address and remediate anomalies identified during Information Security Continuous Monitoring activities.

· Submit recommendations to stakeholders regarding system configuration deviations from established baselines.

· Develop and maintain a System Security Plan (SSP).

· Conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance with the SSP.

· Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of configuration management for security-relevant IS software, hardware, and firmware.

· Monitor system recovery processes to ensure security features and procedures are restored effectively.

· Ensure all IS security-related documentation is current and accessible to authorized personnel.

· Formally notify relevant individuals of changes that may affect authorization.

· Participate in governance and project reviews as directed.

Essential Skills:

· Strong documentation capabilities.

· Proficiency with XACTA 360, Continuum, and other SCAP Compliant tools.

· Experience with RMF, ICD 503, CNSSI 1253, NIST SP 800-53/53A, and STIGs.

· Proven ability to collaborate with IT and OT teams to integrate security best practices into operations.

Industry Compliance:

· Oversee adherence to industry standards and regulations such as NIST SP.

Risk Management:

· Proficient in establishing assumptions, constraints, risk tolerances, and risk management strategies to ensure consistent decision-making regarding the security and safety of operational technology systems.

Educational Background:

Bachelor's Degree (in an IT-related field) Desired Certifications:

  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
  • NIST Cybersecurity Framework (NCSF)
  • AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional certification
