Job Title: Senior Building Automation Specialist

The Building People, LLC, is seeking an experienced Senior Building Automation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our building's automation systems, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our tenants and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain building automation systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electricity, computer networking, lighting, and security.
  • Collaborate with building managers, tenants, and visitors to provide exceptional customer service and support.
  • Work with architects, engineers, contractors, and other professionals to design, install, and maintain building automation systems.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve building performance and reduce operating costs.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and commissioning tests on automation systems.
  • Make recommendations for system upgrades and efficiency improvements.
Requirements:
  • Extensive knowledge of building automation hardware and software.
  • 5 years of experience with Tridium Niagara integration.
  • 5 years of hands-on experience with troubleshooting and diagnostics of proprietary and non-proprietary control systems.
  • Recent experience working on US Federal Properties, Projects, and systems.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing automation equipment.
  • Troubleshooting electrical control signals.
  • Troubleshooting programming via computer control software.
  • Extensive knowledge of HVAC operations and systems.
  • Ability to pass a 7-year background investigation for access to US Federal Owned facilities, Property, and Systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Any manufacturer of building automation controls training certification.
  • Niagara certification preferred.
  • Any HVAC training or certifications.
