About This Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist QA Engineer to join our team. As a Specialist QA Engineer, you will be responsible for testing our company's products to ensure they meet our high standards and specifications.

Responsibilities

Execute test cases, create and run automated scripts, create defect reports, and work with Application Engineering to troubleshoot issues. Perform functional, regression, usability, and load/performance testing. Work closely with the Manager, Application Engineering to ensure our product meets Waystar's quality standards.

What You'll Do

Possess domain expertise in one or more sections of a Waystar engineered product (UI, back-end, X12, security, etc.). Take ownership of project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. Convert complex manual test cases into automated tests, including Web, service, and API tests, and tests with no existing pattern to follow. Develop, run, and maintain manual tests and test cases within the software test suite; follow up with leadership to have test plans reviewed and approved, execute tests, & record results and defects. Work with Application Engineers to reproduce & resolve problems in the functionality, accuracy, and efficiency of new or enhanced software features built by Application Engineering. Ensure the quality of Application Engineering releases, and that Application Engineering efforts match their functional requirements. Thoroughly understand and follow Application Engineering and QA processes and procedures. Within scope of assignments, establish and maintain thorough and accurate documentation of work and communicate technical issues to Application Engineers, QA leadership, Lead Application Engineers, and Managers, Application Engineering. Analyze and reproduce problems reported by Client Success; acquire a complete set of relevant data, so that the problem can be accurately characterized. Can code simple productivity tools to further aid QA Engineering productivity; capable of extending the QA automated test framework, to allow other QA Engineers to write new types of tests.

What You'll Need

5+ years' experience with Azure DevOps or other test management applications. 5+ years' experience writing SQL queries. 2+ years' experience programming with C#. 2+ year(s) of experience programming with Selenium. High attention to detail. Ability to execute recurring tasks with precision. Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities. Self-motivated and driven. Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills

5+ years' experience in a Quality Assurance role is preferred. Experience with X12 or Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management is preferred. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) is preferred.
