Position Summary
Become an integral part of a diverse workforce dedicated to enhancing the health and wellness of the communities we serve.
This role is situated within the Emergency Department and requires weekend availability. The position is part-time, with hours from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
Knowledge of EPIC systems is highly desirable.
Role Responsibilities:
This position is tasked with ensuring that patient access procedures are executed in accordance with established protocols and accurately documented in ADT and other clinical information systems. The role aims to meet departmental and organizational goals regarding process accuracy and efficiency.
Key Duties Include:
1. Verifying and updating essential ADT information (such as insurance details and patient demographics) to guarantee patient safety and billing accuracy.
2. Scheduling initial and follow-up patient appointments as necessary, and making efforts to reschedule any cancellations.
3. Completing and documenting all required governmental, regulatory, financial, and contractual forms in line with procedures, ensuring documents are legible and stored correctly.
4. Utilizing price estimation tools, when applicable, to provide accurate cost estimates to patients during the registration process.
5. Meeting departmental targets for upfront collections, including deposits, estimated amounts due, co-pays, and prior balances.
6. Actively engaging in departmental quality assurance by managing system work queues, minimizing individual errors, and implementing corrections as needed.
Education Requirements:
* High School Diploma or GED
Experience Requirements:
* A minimum of two (2) years in customer service or clerical roles is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must possess strong organizational and communication skills.
