Respite Program Coordinator

Job Summary:

Lifespan is seeking a skilled Respite Program Coordinator to oversee the paid respite scholarship program for families in the 9-county region. The successful candidate will maintain accurate records, track data, and provide reports to the NYS Department of Health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Respite Scholarship program registrations and maintain database of registrants.
  • Work with partner respite providers to secure providers and ensure contracts are in place.
  • Submit invoices for services rendered and track data associated with the coordination of the respite scholarship program.
  • Work with monthly scholarship recipients to ensure they have selected their provider and everything is in place for their respite.
  • Conduct quality checks with clients and vendors and prepare and present respite reports to the Division Leader.

Requirements:

  • BS or BA in human service or health-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of and experience working in the field of geriatrics a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work independently.
