About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Specialist to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As a critical member of our respiratory care department, you will provide high-quality care to patients with chronic and acute respiratory conditions.

The estimated salary for this position is $ $110,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description:

This is a full-time opportunity to work as a Respiratory Care Specialist in our respiratory care department. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and possess strong problem-solving abilities.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Administering various modalities of respiratory care according to established departmental policies.
  • Monitoring patient responses to therapy and referring those with unusual or unanticipated responses to appropriate staff members.
  • Participating in patient education and providing guidance on breathing exercises, oxygen therapy, and other areas identified.
  • Gathering data for clinical treatment and documenting patient information according to department policy.
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy.
  • Credential of Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with 18 months to obtain RRT credential.
  • Current State of Connecticut license.
