Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As an Ambulatory Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced outpatient setting, utilizing your expertise to promote health, prevent illness, and alleviate suffering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, assessing patients' conditions and developing individualized care plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and effective communication.
  • Participate in the Clinical Advancement Program, working towards one of five CAP levels that offer increasing compensation and professional growth opportunities.
  • Develop and implement patient education programs, empowering patients to take an active role in their healthcare.
  • Assume relief charge duties, demonstrating leadership and clinical expertise in a dynamic environment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related field.
  • A valid RN license in New Mexico or a reciprocal agreement state.
  • Current CPR for Healthcare/BLS certification.
  • At least 3 years of direct experience in ambulatory care or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
