Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Executive in Training - Dining Services. As a member of our leadership development program, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced directors and managers to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in a leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Dining Services in leading salaried managers and hourly associates, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful operation of our dining services.
- Participate in the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of our dining services, working closely with the Director to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
- Assist with interviewing and onboarding new associates, learning our recruitment and training processes, and developing your skills in talent management.
- Participate in training programs for associate onboarding, task delegation, and performance management, developing your skills in leadership and communication.
- Learn and practice effective communication to address customer complaints and resolve issues, working closely with the Director to develop your skills in conflict resolution.
- Observe and assist the Director in preparing and leading the annual budget, gaining a deep understanding of our financial processes and procedures.
- Learn to apply our company systems for reports, including inventory, cash flow, production, payroll, and timesheets, developing your skills in data analysis and financial management.
- Learn to use our company systems for cost control, including menu forecasting and labor scheduling, developing your skills in budgeting and financial planning.
- Shadow the Director and other staff to understand how food and beverage items are prepared, presented, and served according to our company standards for quality, safety, sanitation (HACCP and OSHA), and portion control.
- Gain hands-on experience in food preparation tasks under close supervision, adhering to safety and sanitation guidelines, and in compliance with USDA programs.
