Key Responsibilities:
As our next Chief Law Enforcement Officer - City Administrator, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans, leading our policing initiatives, and collaborating with local law enforcement agencies. You will also serve as a key ambassador for our organization, representing our interests in local, national, and international forums.

Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., criminal justice, police science, public administration) and hold an active California Basic Police Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) certification or be able to obtain one within two years of appointment. A Master's degree is highly desirable, and at least one year of experience as a Chief of Police or Assistant/Deputy Chief is required. You must also demonstrate a stable employment history and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary and Benefits:
The annual salary range for this position is $227,234.80 - $304,497.44, dependent on experience and qualifications. We offer an excellent benefits package, including medical coverage options (Blue Shield HMO, Blue Shield PPO, and Kaiser HMO), dental coverage (Delta DPO or DeltaCare DMO), vision care (VSP), retirement plans (CalPERS), vacation time (160.08 hours per year), sick leave (48 hours per year), administrative leave (80 hours per fiscal year), holidays (10 days per year plus 4 floating holidays), tuition reimbursement (up to $2,500 per fiscal year), cell phone allowance ($20/month reimbursement or city-issued cellphone), car allowance ($380.00 monthly or use of a city vehicle), and other benefits (Deferred Compensation, Short- and Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, Employee Assistance Program, Retirement Health Savings Plan).
