Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Middle School Science Teacher to join our team at Rocky Mountain Prep. As a science teacher, you will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and personal growth. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assess student progress, and provide targeted support to students who need it.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement high-quality science curriculum that aligns with state and national standards
  • Design and deliver engaging lesson plans that promote student understanding and retention of scientific concepts
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of all learners
  • Provide targeted support to students who need extra help, including those with special needs or English language learners
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives that promote academic excellence and student success
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed about student progress and involve them in their child's education
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in science education or a related field
  • Current Colorado teaching license with elementary education endorsement
  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum two years of teaching experience
  • Experience with progress monitoring and data analysis
  • Knowledge of culturally responsive instruction and critical pedagogical frameworks
  • Demonstrated success working with students from historically marginalized communities
