SUMMARY
The Float – Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is tasked with providing care across various ambulatory practices within primary care as needed. This role involves delivering direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, adhering to established care plans.
STATUS: Full Time

DEPARTMENT: Primary Care
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, Days
ATTRIBUTES

- Graduate from an accredited School of Practical Nursing.
- Minimum of 1 year of LPN experience required.
- Valid New York State (NYS) driver's license required.
- Current New York State (NYS) LPN license required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Cell phone required for job-related communication.
- Additional $3/hour for float responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Patient Care & Service: Enhance and restore patients' health by executing the nursing process; collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; perform various treatment procedures; provide physical, educational, and emotional support to patients, families, and friends; supervise assigned team members.
- Medication Administration & Reporting: Administer medications and communicate relevant reports, both written and verbal, to appropriate staff in accordance with departmental protocols.
- Documentation: Ensure concise, relevant, and complete documentation using computerized medical record systems.
- Preparation: Ensure clinical areas are adequately supplied and exam rooms are prepared and stocked.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing, or squatting.
For disease-specific care programs, refer to the program-specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements.

PAY RANGE:
$29.75
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full-time applicant. It may be modified in the future and is eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
