Job Summary

The Medical Imaging Specialist III Nuclear Medicine demonstrates advanced knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patients served in the department. This position requires a strong foundation in nuclear medicine, with the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's requirements relative to their age-specific needs.

This role involves performing computed tomography and related procedures to obtain sectional anatomic images for interpretation by licensed practitioners. The ideal candidate will have excellent professional judgment, maintaining a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics while providing services to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs computed tomography and related procedures to obtain sectional anatomic images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
  • Provides health care services applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment.
  • Assesses data reflective of the patient's requirements relative to their age-specific needs, providing care accordingly.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program and a member in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R) and ARRT (N) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (N.M.T.C.B).
  • Licensed by the State of Nevada.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Demonstrated competence specific to NM position.
