We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician I to join our team at American States Utility Services. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our water and wastewater systems.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on water and wastewater equipment, including pumps, motors, and generators.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks, such as inspecting and testing equipment, to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues with equipment and systems, and implement effective solutions to resolve problems.
- Work with superintendents and other maintenance technicians to prepare and maintain operational memos for all facilities.
- Perform general housekeeping and maintenance tasks, including painting, vegetation control, cleaning, and yard maintenance.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a CDL with tanker endorsement within 24 months.
- Formal electrical schooling/training preferred.
- Ability to obtain State required maintenance technician certification within 12 months.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, extreme weather conditions, and areas exposed to noise and chemicals.
