Construction Technology Instructor

Job Summary:

Kansas City Kansas Community College is seeking a qualified Construction Technology Instructor to provide high-quality instruction and support to students in the Construction Technology program. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction technology and the ability to teach students in a learner-centered environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach construction technology courses to students in a variety of settings, including classrooms and laboratories.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of students and the construction industry.
  • Provide individualized instruction and support to students to help them achieve their academic goals.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of the Construction Technology program.
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide committees and activities.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Construction Technology or a related field.
  • Five years of experience in construction technology, including teaching and industry experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Doctoral degree in Construction Technology or a related field.
  • Experience teaching in a community college setting.
  • Experience with curriculum development and implementation.
  • Experience with assessment and evaluation of student learning.
Work Environment:

The Construction Technology Instructor will work in a fast-paced environment with a diverse group of students and faculty. The instructor will be expected to work effectively in a team environment and to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
