Job Title: Automotive Collision Repair Instructor

Kansas City Kansas Community College (KCKCC) is seeking a qualified instructor to teach Automotive Collision Repair courses at our Technical Education Center (TEC) and other college locations. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, learner-centered instruction to students enrolled in Automotive Collision Repair-related coursework.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans and instructional materials for Automotive Collision Repair courses.
  • Ensure curriculum and resources are updated with industry standards and practices.
  • Operate and maintain equipment and training modules required to support the specific course(s) taught.
  • Collaborate with program personnel on departmental budget and program development.
  • Prepare and grade assignments, quizzes, and exams.
  • Provide individualized support and guidance to students.
  • Participate in program meetings and contribute to the development of the Automotive Collision Repair program.
  • Recruit and market the program to potential students.
  • Assist in student job placement and follow-up.
  • Ensure students follow appropriate safety practices.
  • Participate in regular professional development and stay current with industry developments.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree in an appropriate discipline.
  • Three (3) years of related industry experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse students and learners.
  • Knowledge of the latest industry technology and ability to integrate it into the program.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline.
  • Previous teaching experience.
  • Experience in learner-centered pedagogy.

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a diverse group of students and colleagues. The position requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
