Financial Advisor Assistant

We're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to support our team, clients, and business as a Financial Advisor Assistant. This role plays a crucial part in our firm, with frequent client contact, managing external partners, and handling routine matters involving account opening, administration, and maintenance.

We're a father/son advisory team with over 50 years of combined experience serving our community. Our firm specializes in helping individuals and families achieve their goals and dreams throughout the accumulation and distribution phases of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer and route phone calls, assisting clients directly or taking messages as needed
  • Process client service items, including withdrawals, beneficiary changes, and trades
  • Coordinate with the team to complete and process new accounts
  • Prepare and distribute marketing materials
  • Organize and maintain client paperwork
  • Process securities and checks received in the office
  • Schedule appointments and maintain calendars
  • Research and prepare information for client meetings
  • Follow up with clients to obtain required information
  • Manage practice reporting tools and maintain client records
  • Compose and type general correspondence
  • Communicate confidential client information professionally and discreetly
  • Deliver superior client service and troubleshoot problems
  • Communicate with external partners and maintain broker records
  • Utilize technology to process and follow up on business
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; High School Diploma with more than 2 years' experience considered
  • 2+ years' experience supporting one or more financial advisors required
  • Series 7 preferred
  • Highly organized with an absolute attention to detail
  • Excellent follow-through and communication skills
  • Client-first attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Intermediate or higher computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to analyze situations and suggest alternative solutions
  • Willingness to complete a background and credit screening
