Breakfast Line Cook

The Restaurant Line Cook is a key member of the culinary team at ICONA AVALON F&B, responsible for preparing and/or directing the preparation of food to be served. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook food to the highest standards, following established recipes and production procedures.
- Inventory Management: Determine the amount and type of food and supplies required, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth food production and service.
- Sanitation and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Report any equipment issues to the supervisor and assist with routine maintenance tasks.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all food served meets the highest standards of quality, temperature, and appearance.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of food production, inventory, and waste.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen environment.
- Certifications: ServSafe certification required.
This role operates in a kitchen environment, with frequent exposure to heat, steam, and noise. The employee may be required to work outside in all types of inclement weather.
Physical Demands- Standing: Over 2/3rd of the time.
- Walking: Over 2/3rd of the time.
- Sitting: Under 2/3rd of the time.
- Manual Dexterity: Over 2/3rd of the time.
- Lifting: Up to 1/3rd of the time.
This is a full-time position, requiring 40+ hours per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays. No travel is expected for this role.
