We are currently seeking an Operations Supervisor - Outbound to become a vital part of our Metro Operations Center team in the Halifax market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and direct daily operations of the Lumber Yard standards, Shipping, and Fleet Turnaround Team.
  • Coordinate logistics for all outbound shipments.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards.
  • Manage customer deliveries and daily yard operations.
  • Supervise shipping and receiving activities while maintaining effective communication with Dispatch and Drivers.
  • Develop and implement strategies to control and minimize operational costs.
  • Establish, implement, and measure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Participate in the hiring process for the team.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail management.
  • Exceptional time management and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to understand and respond to customer needs sensitively.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate retail demands.
  • Experience in warehouse operations and business processes.
  • Intermediate proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office (MS Project, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to identify operational challenges and opportunities, collaborating with functional and management teams to evaluate and implement effective solutions. They should be comfortable engaging with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
