Network Automation Specialist

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA) is seeking a Network Automation Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining automation toolsets for device asset discovery, data collection, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement automation solutions using Python and legacy tools in Perl.
- Enhance existing scripts to improve workflows and network change management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and feedback on network automation solutions.
- Conduct regular assessments to identify opportunities for efficiency improvement and optimization.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of networking protocols and concepts.
- Familiarity with Ansible Tower or Ansible Automation Platform.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python.
- 8-10 years of relevant experience.
- Understanding of RESTful API principles and data serialization.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of software lifecycle principles and practices.
- Problem-solving skills to identify automation opportunities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with frameworks like Flask or Django.
- Relevant certifications in Networking or RedHat Ansible.
