Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve their maximum independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer therapy evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients with physical, cognitive, and functional disabilities.
  • Analyze and interpret data to assess patients' current functional ability and make differential diagnoses when necessary.
  • Consult with physicians regarding contradictions or alternative forms of therapy.
  • Assess patients' progress and establish short- and long-term goals.
  • Provide treatment in individual and group settings, utilizing therapeutic interventions and activities to remediate, restore, and/or compensate for losses in physical, perceptual, cognitive, sensory, psychosocial, and functional skills.
  • Educate patients, family members, and caregivers in therapy programs and goals.
  • Participate in patient care meetings, collaborate with team members, and assist with discharge planning.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy or a bachelor's degree with a certificate or diploma for successful completion of a post-degree program in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current MA state license as Occupational Therapist.
  • Successful completion of national certification exam, or eligible and scheduled for next sitting.
