Unified Communications Domain Architect

Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Unified Communications Domain Architect to join our team. As a key member of our Service Management Integration and Transport (SMIT) Contract, you will be responsible for designing and implementing unified communications solutions for the Navy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement unified communications solution architectures, ensuring alignment with industry best practices, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical thought leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, including solution design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
- Design scalable and resilient architectures with a deep understanding of unified communications, security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with vendors and third-party providers to evaluate and select unified communications technologies, ensuring compatibility and scalability with existing infrastructure and future needs.
- Conduct technology assessments, trade studies/analyses of alternatives, proof-of-concepts, and pilots to evaluate new solutions and validate their suitability for Navy environments.
- Provide occasional Tier 3/Tier 4 support to Operations.
- Identify technology and solution roadmaps to improve mission enterprise capabilities, resulting in increased contract growth and improved customer experience.
- Participate in the Leidos SMIT Engineering Review Board.
- Collaborate with other DAs in cases of capability overlap areas and collaborate across a number of Engineering and Operations Teams.
- Review and provide input to Contract Deliverables Requirements List (CDRL) documents.
Requirements:
- Requires BS degree and 12 – 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters degree with 10 – 13 years of prior relevant experience.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, presentation/briefing skills; ability to interact with internal Senior-level Managers and Senior Navy Customers.
- Currently possess and ability to maintain an active DoD Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred).
- Ability to review requirements, comprehend, and solution capabilities that satisfy customer requirements.
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative, forward thinking, and innovation-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced/Professional level vendor certifications (Cisco, Ribbon, Avaya, etc...).
- Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML experience, Cameo Systems Modeler.
