Are you passionate about serving the public and helping individuals navigate their benefits?
We are seeking a dedicated Benefits Administrator to play a vital role in our organization. If you are enthusiastic about providing exceptional service and have a desire to contribute positively to the community, this position may be for you.
About Us
The Fire and Police Pension Association (FPPA) is a well-established organization that has been serving the needs of public employees since the 1980s. Our leadership is committed to our mission, vision, and values, guiding us to meet our strategic goals. We oversee a statewide retirement system that offers defined benefit plans and additional coverage for police officers and firefighters across Colorado.
With a close-knit team of approximately 70 staff members based in Denver, we pride ourselves on fostering a work environment that promotes a healthy balance between personal and professional commitments.
Position Overview
The Benefits Administrator is primarily responsible for assisting FPPA members, retirees, and employer groups with inquiries related to various FPPA benefits. This role involves initiating communication, addressing requests, and providing comprehensive information and education regarding FPPA services, programs, and benefits.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates should possess a minimum of two years of professional experience in customer service, benefits administration, pension plan management, or a related field. We value teamwork and seek individuals who demonstrate strong communication skills, organizational abilities, attention to detail, and effective problem-solving capabilities.
Additional Requirements
Successful candidates will be required to obtain public notary certification within their first year of employment. Additionally, all new hires must successfully complete a background check and drug screening.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is between $58,000 and $68,000, commensurate with experience. Our benefits package includes group medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401K and 457 plans, defined benefits through Colorado PERA, life insurance, and long-term disability coverage.
Application Process
Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their cover letter and resume to the Human Resources department.
